Back in December 2009 we made a reservation for our wedding celebration at another hotel! However, before going home I suggested to Dave that we called into Rowfant House and had a look around (not somewhere either of us had visited before). As soon as we walked in the front door we knew this was the place to hold our celebration but then that’s just for starters.
Jan was so friendly and welcoming showing Dave and I all of the options as regard to rooms and menus and suggestions for the day. We immediately confirmed to each other that this was the location we wanted and proceeded to cancel our previous booking at the other hotel.
We actually got married on 10 July in Jamaica and on returning home looked forward to our family and friends celebration at Rowfant House on 24 July 2010.
To use a saying we heard a lot in Jamaica there were ‘no problems’, in fact Jan made sure nothing about the whole weekend was a problem for any of our guests. They all thought it was fantastic, and that we had found the perfect location. We hired the Locker Lampson room which had doors which opened onto the gardens down to the lake and as it was such a lovely day our guests wondered around outside in the grounds soaking up the tranquillity.
The food was without exception superb in terms of quantity, quality and the way it was served. Just a personal note I was eating lemon soufflé at 1 o’clock in the morning!
Would we recommend Rowfant House to anyone? – most definitely YES.
A very big thank you to Jan and the team for making our wedding celebration perfect and a day we shall remember for the rest of our lives.

Dear Jan and Smurdrite,
I am sorry for writing so late after the event but I would like to let you know how wonderful our wedding was at Rowfant.
We were married on the 11/07/09 at St Leonards church in Turners Hill and then had our reception with you.
The scenery and ambiance at Rowfant is so different from any other venue we visited. With its traditional interior and vintage feel it was exactly what we were looking for.
Your self and the other staff were really helpfull and very accomodating to our needs. You even did cheesy pasta for the page boy!
You allowed us to come in the day before and decorate the hall and bent over back wards to help us.
The hall looked beautiful and went so well with our theme.
One of the best things was not being rushed e.g. photo's.
The biggest compliment though has to go to the food! It was unbelievable, all of the guests accused us of not telling them to starve themselves for a week before hand!
Guests are still talking about the food 7 months on and one family member, who came all the way from Autralia rang her family back there on the day to say it was the best wedding food she had ever had!
You really did make our special day fantastic and unforgettable, we would recommend you to anyone who is looking for a venue:

Dear Jan,
As they say ,"it is better late than never", and I must apologise for not writing earlier but life seems to keep me very busy.
Anyway, following the brilliant success of my daughter's wedding in September at Rowfant, I chose to book with you for my 49th (+11 !!) birthday celebration in early October.
We had the Locker-Lampson room to accomodate my party of 18 people. This was a wonderful room with lovely views across the grounds to the lake. Your staff set the tables up, and helped my wife decorate the room with birthday banners etc.
Yet again, the food and service provided by your staff was fautless. Everyone who attended commented on how tasty and plentiful the food was. My evening was a complete success thanks to all the help from yourself and your staff.
It is no wonder therefore, that we, my friends and myself, have already booked for a meal on St.Georges Day with our old Army Association members. We know that they will be subjected to brilliant food, great surroundings and very helpful friendly staff.
Once again, Rowfant is a "hidden little gem" and I am more than pleased to have found it.
Wishing you and Smuidrite and all your staff, a very "Merry Christmas" and a "Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year."

Thank you so much for a great time on Saturday for Jeanne's 70th birthday celebration lunch. The meal was excellent, service was great, the Riga room was ideal for us. Everyone enjoyed themselves from Jeanne's one hundred year old mother to our three year old grandson.
A great event in a great setting.

Dear Smuidrite and Jan
I want to send you both a very big "THANK YOU" for all your assistance in helping me to arrange my daughter's wedding which took place on Saturday 12th September 2009.
Like the couple said about their daughter's wedding the week before ours. We were also lucky to have found Rowfant, and like other's we certainly would call it a hidden "little gem".
Everyone was extremely helpful in helping with arrangements leading up to the "Wedding", and any requests that we had was also never too much trouble for you to accomodate.
The wedding day and reception was perfect in every way.
Again the Great Hall looked amazing and very colourful when the tables were all laid out. The waitering staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient, and the same can be said about Peter and his bar staff.
The meals were delicious and plentiful, and all our guests commented on how much they had enjoyed the food (Especially the puddings).
With the sun shining on the day the grounds were perfect for wedding photos offering lovely back drops. The ample parking afforded at Rowfant made it easy for our guests.
Our daughter and her bridesmaids stayed over the night before the wedding and got dressed at Rowfant and you all worked so hard to help them throughout the morning allowing them to use the bridal suite through the day and then over night with her new husband.
Rowfant was the perfect venue for our wedding, my daughter and new son in law had the most perfected day and a lot of it was down to you and all your staffs hard work.
Like the last couple said it would be very difficult for a top class hotel to match the standard and quality of food and service that we all received at Rowfant.
We all have great memories of my daughter and son-in-law's special day at Rowfant.

Our daughter and her new husband, stayed overnight in the "Bridal Suite". This room was very comfortable and offered lovely views across the front lawns.
To sum up, Rowfant is the perfect venue for a wedding or similar celebration, and I am certain that we will return.
It would be very difficult for a top class hotel to match the standard and quality of food and service that we all received at Rowfant.
We will all retain wonderful memories of our daughter and son-in-law's special day at Rowfant.

Dear Smuidrite & Jan
Rowfant made our wedding on the 3rd August the most special day of our lives. You looked afer us from the moment we arrived until John and I left the next day.
As you know we had to change venue at a late stage and we have to say it was the the best thing we did.
The food you served was superb, the staff were friendly and please say hi to your barman. He was the best! All went out of their way to make sure all went we had a great day.
Rowfant House, well it was the most fantastic and scenic venue. The most beautiful setting for our wedding.
All our guests has a fantastic time and I will be recommending Rowfant in the future.
We will be back soon as it would be great to see you all.

As Mother of the Bride I want to say a really big thank-you to all at Rowfant House for making Yvonne and Duncan’s wedding day complete. To Smuidrîte and Jan for helping us plan the day and then their attention throughout the event. To the frindly waiting staff who served us throughout the meal. To the barmen who remained helpful and friendly all day (especially with the Pimms). And, of course, those wonderful chefs who prepared a meal that could not be faulted. And numerous others who worked behind the scenes.
You would find it extremely hard to find a more beautiful and friendly venue. An area to dance the evening away, a place to be able to talk quietly to friends and outside where the children can runabout and play safely.
I would highly recommend Rowfant House for a wedding or any other special function.

Dear Jan
We would just like to thank you and your staff for making our son Paul and Angela’s wedding reception so special on Friday 20th June, 2008.
Your attention to detail was outstanding, everything was perfect and you certainly took the stress of the day away from us all, even down to finding the taxis home for us.
Many of our wedding guests had traveled from the length and breadth of the country and even from Belgium and throughout the evening we were constantly told how beautiful the venue was and what a great time they were all having.
So once again thank you so much for all your hard work and for all the other staff (including Peter and his staff too).
